You may not be in direct risk of flooding from the river or the sea, but it is possible to be affected from surface or groundwater flooding. Top Tips to keep flood water out of your home:

  • Installing purpose-built flood boards when flooding is imminent as well as raising the door thresholds.
  • Ensuring the damp-proof brick courses are raised in addition to sealing floors via tanking to prevent rising water through the ground.

  • Installing non return valves to drains and water inlet and outlet pipes to avoid backflow, reducing contamination of water through water infusion.
